WANSC is only as strong as the community that surrounds us and we are thankful for our neighbors, our hardworking volunteers, our generous funders and, of course, our clients who teach us about strength and perseverance on a daily basis.
In 2024, there were 22,560 customers who came to our Thrift Store and the Waseca Food Shelf served 10,655 individuals and provided 181,035 pounds of food for them! The numbers seeking assistance have been increasing in 2025.
From the Director:
Monetary donations are critical to the success of the WANSC and allows us to purchase food at drastically reduced pricing. Cash donations help us provide assistance in many of the different programs that our non-profit offers to assist individuals/families in need. Your donation—no matter the size—directly helps us to purchase healthy foods like meat and other proteins for clients as well as items for the Waseca student food backpack program so they are not going hungry on weekends. A donation to the “In A Pinch” program allows us to help people who have emergency needs. A contribution of $25 can help us assure that our community members have enough food to eat or help with emergency needs and larger gifts allow us to expand our reach even further. Donations to the "General Fund" go to the Area of Greatest Need.

Donations to the "Food Shelf" allow us to have greater purchasing power from the Regional Food Bank.
